To our best knowledge not one MK1 from 1953 was publicly offered for sale in the last couple of years. The watch shows an engraving of ‘414’ on the caseback. According to the website www.vintage-breitling.com, by a renowned Breitling collector, only approx. 450 pieces were made in this configuration. The 3 digit engraving points to an Italian military background! The watch as well as the serial number are listed in the guide on the website. Make no mistake, this is a truly rare watch! Such an important watch for Breitling history, so they have decided to reissue the model in the beginning of 2020.
